Raisons d'être

Centre Bel Âge is the home of 200+ members of Club Bel Âge at Place Maillardville Community Centre in historic Maillardville.

Raison d’être:

Club Bel Âge members are a group of francophone and francophile seniors from the ages of 50 to 95 and up. Founded in 1964, our mission is to promote French Canadian heritage through social activities and programs for the well being of our members. We are an active group, participating in many civic and community events, many of us serve on various committees throughout the city and of course, all able-bodied members help with the Festival du Bois, our annual francophone celebration in March. We have a committe of women who serve the elderly’s needs at Foyer Maillard with snack carts, special evenings and events and a boutique. We work to preserve our history in Maillardville and to maintain our culture for future generations.
